Red Ribbon Clubs (RRCs) are designed to instill values of service among students, promote healthy lifestyles, and enhance access to safe and sufficient blood supplies for those in need through the encouragement of regular voluntary blood donation. Additionally, RRCs focus on empowering youth by providing accurate information on mental health, substance abuse, nutrition, and reproductive and sexual health, thereby developing their skills as peer educators to disseminate messages about positive health behaviors in a supportive environment. The establishment of Red Ribbon Clubs in colleges aims to foster peer-to-peer communication regarding HIV prevention and to create a safe environment for young individuals to address their questions and misconceptions about HIV/AIDS. Furthermore, RRCs advocate for voluntary blood donation among the youth and promote safe sexual practices. The clubs also strive to raise awareness among the targeted youth about HIV/AIDS and related issues, enabling them to become proactive change agents within HIV/AIDS programs.
