Vision of the Department: 

The primary Vision of the Department of Economics at this college is to provide a high-quality education to the students who joined in economics.  At the core of our education is a commitment to academic excellence and lifelong learning. Our vision is the preparation of students capable of critical thinking and independent analysis for living their lives of responsibility, leadership and service.  The faculty members in the Department of Economics emphasize excellence in teaching through continuous professional development and determination and dedication.

 Strategic Goals:

• To ensure that our students have the integrative and critical thinking skills as well as quantitative and qualitative abilities to analyze complex domestic economic, social and global problems. 
• To ascertain that our students have the necessary interpersonal, communication and leadership skills so that they can function as responsible citizens and effective leaders.

Mission of the Department:

The Department mission is to prepare students for acquiring applied knowledge of Economics to enhance their employability and entrepreneurship. Our mission is to provide quality instructions to our students to prepare them for successful careers. To fight with the growing unemployment problems of India and Andhra Pradesh. Our department has been trying to teach the students to take measures for the development the rural economy of our state, to become self-dependent by getting engaged in agriculture and allied activities in their free times so that they can enrich their home economy. The department also has undertaken various initiatives towards the society as its responsibility.
